Contact Towards China

Something to share?

We welcome ideas for stories, questions about an article, useful sources and corrections. If you know a place, language or tradition discussed here, your perspective can help us notice something we have missed. Please explain the specific point rather than assuming one experience speaks for everybody.

The publication inbox

Email: info@towardschina.co.uk. This is the public, adult-managed Towards China inbox. The adult publisher responsible for the website and reader data is Donato Bilancia. It is the contact for editorial correspondence, account help and privacy requests; it is not Anny’s private inbox.

  • For a correction, include the article title or URL, the sentence concerned and a source or explanation that helps us check it.
  • For a story idea, explain what you find interesting and link to an original source if you can.
  • For account or privacy help, describe the request and use the email associated with the account where possible. Please never send a password.

You can use “Story idea”, “Correction” or “Privacy request” in the subject line to help us find the right message. We read correspondence, but a message does not guarantee publication, an interview or an immediate reply. We will explain if a request needs more information.

Your message stays a message

Contacting us does not register an account or sign you up to a newsletter. If we would like to quote or publish a reader’s contribution, we will discuss that separately. Identifying contributions from children need appropriate safeguarding and consent.

Please keep school details, home addresses, phone numbers, live locations and other people’s private information out of ordinary story suggestions. If a report raises a sensitive issue, ask the adult publisher how to share it safely before sending further material.

Help with your information

For access, correction, erasure, an objection to use of your information or a privacy complaint, contact the same adult-managed inbox. We may ask for proportionate identity checks to protect the account; we will not ask for your account password. You can ask about the information we hold and how it is used, object to its use or request correction or deletion.
